Sabina Benel, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner credentialed through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Sabina received her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland in 2005 and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte in 2009. In June of 2012, she completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and completed her Doctor in Nursing Practice degree from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona in2017 .
Prior to opening Peak Wellness Clinic she worked as a registered nurse with Premise Health, Carolina Rehabilitation Center and Novant Health on the rehabilitation, medical/surgical, and neurology units. As a nurse practitioner she has worked for an internal medicine practice and retail based clinic managing patient care in an outpatient setting.
In her spare time Sabina enjoys traveling, being physically active, and spending time with her three sons.
Sabina believes partnering and building a strong relationship with her patients is a key strategy in empowering them to take control of their physical and mental health. She strives to create a comfortable safe environment where patients can freely address their medical and mental healthcare concerns and hopes to empower her patients to assume responsibility of their body and mind health through education, disease prevention, and health promotion activities.
